Not coming as much of a surprise, Variety is reporting that both upcoming Spider-Man projects will be shifted, and have their release dates moved back, due to industry-wide shutdowns from the Covid-19 Epidemic.
The still officially untitled sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home has been moved from July 16, 2021, to Nov. 5, 2021. Also, the sequel to Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will be moved back from April 8, 2022, to Oct. 7, 2022.
Though a disappointment to all Spider-Man, MCU, and just comic fans in general, it was to be expected given the current situation. We’ll all be looking forward to seeing our favorite web-slinger swinging into theaters in November of 2021, until then check back for your Marvel news here.
